The UK's first holistic
horse show is launched
The UK's first ever
national horse
show dedicated
to holistic horse-care
has been launched. The
Holistic Horse show,
to be held at Unex
Towerlands from 24- 26
October 2008 has been
custom-designed to
meet the equestrian
industry's rapidly growing
demand for
an holistic approach to
horse care.
It will provide an
unrivalled opportunity
for complementary therapists, specialist
professionals, and
retailers to display their
products and services.
The use of holistic
care, products and
services for animals has
increased dramatically
over the past ten years
along with the greater
demand for knowledge
and information on these
products. The show -
the brainchild of Equine
Physical Therapist,
Dani Paizis, will give
consumers access, under
one roof, to everything
they need to know about
holistic care for horses. It will bring together the
UK's leading experts,
service providers and
retailers.
The Holistic Horse
Show runs from the
24-26 October. A
full programme of
performances includes
the amazing equine
biomechanist Gillian
Higgins from Horses
Inside Out, who will
show how equine
muscles work with the
help of her obliging
grey horse Freddie. A
spellbinding display
on the many similar
techniques used to train
horses and dogs will be
given by leading western
rider David Depford and
his beautiful Sovereign
quarter horses. In the
more intimate therapy
centre, visitors can
witness a vast range
of complementary
therapies at close hand,
and see the most up-tothe-
minute holistic care
products demonstrated.
